River Wye
The River Wye winds down the valley through spectacular limestone gorge scenery and dense ravine woodlands. With superb wildlife and beautiful walking routes, it makes this area one of the most fascinating areas of outstanding natural beauty.
The Wye Valley Walk
The famous Wye Valley Walk travels through Tintern and on to Monmouth, or alternatively, walk the opposite direction into Chepstow through beautiful woodland and past the 365 steps. Either route will showcase the beautiful countryside with charming towns ready to explore at the end of your journey.
The Offas Dyke
The Offas Dyke path winds through Tintern and offers unrivalled views over the Wye Valley and beautiful countryside as you continue on to Abergavenny. Visit the medieval castle in Chepstow, majestic ruins in Tintern and a couple of beautiful vineyards on the way.
Shorter Walks
Tintern is home to some beautiful short routes that will loop back around to the hotel crossing over the lovely iron bridges onto an old railway path there is no shortage of routes for you to take. Whether you are walking the dog or heading out for an afternoon stroll we will be able to point you in the right direction to make the most of your trip.
